Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha got married to her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in June 2024, in an intimate setting, in presence of their close friends and family. However, the actress’ brother, Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha did not make it to the wedding. Now, the senior actor has finally ended his silence on the absence of his sons from his daughter’s wedding.
During a conversation with Lehren Retro, he first refused to make any comment on whether he was affected by the absence of his son’s support in this decision. But later he stated, “Uss mein main koi shikayat nahi karta hoon. woh bhi ek reaction hota hai. Woh bhi insaan hai. Bacho ko cultural shock laga hai. Abhi shayad unke andar itni maturity nahi hogi, jin logon ne aisa kaha hoga.”
He further added that he understands their pain and troubles, and if he had been of their age, maybe his thinking would have been different too.
Before tying the knot in 2024, Sonakshi and Zaheer were dating for seven years. They were also in live-in relationship for one year, before Zaheer popped the question. Their wedding faced a lot of criticism online, as it is an inter-faith marriage.
