Shahid Kapoor debuted in the OTT Arena with his first web series Farzi. The project is created by the renowned filmmaker duo Raj and DK. As per the reports, Farzi is a fast- paced crime thriller that is set in the backdrop of the fake currency business, which has been drastically damaging the nation’s economy. Shahid Kapoor is playing the role of a clever street artist, who is on a mission to con the system that favours the rich. It is all set to premiere on February 10.
The screening of Farzi was held in Mumbai on Thursday, 9 February 2023, and was attended by various celebrities. Shahid Kapoor made a grand entrance with his wife Mira Rajput, the couple just returned from Sidharth and Kiara’s wedding in Jaisalmer. The duo gave adorable poses to the photographers, and Shahid Kapoor’s mom and dad also marked their attendance in the event. Both Shahid and Mira posed with Shahid’s father, actor Pankaj Kapoor.
Other celebrities who attended the screening included Pankaj Tripathi, Vaani Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Vrun Dhawan, Saba Azad, Kriti Kulhari, Sharvari Wagh, Sharad Kelkar , Anushka Ranjan, Aditya Seal, Vishal Bhardwaj, Huma Qureshi, Aanand L Rai, Rasika Dugal, Saiyami Kher , Kabir Khan, Jacky Bhagnani , Rakul Preet Singh and several other.
Farzi is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The series has eight parts with Raashi Khanna as the leading lady, and it also features south star Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menona, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar and Regina Cassandra. All the team members were present at the screening except Vijay Sethupathi, as he gave the event a miss due to his busy schedule.
