Shahid Kapoor to Kangana Ranaut: Bollywood celebs congratulates Neeraj Chopra for his big win

At the World Athletics Championships, Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian to win a gold medal.

Several Bollywood celebrities hailed India’s javelin ace Neeraj Chopra on his and the country’s first gold medal at the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest on Monday morning. In his second effort, Neeraj made his greatest throw of 88.17 metres and managed to maintain his lead till the very finish.

Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan, the Commonwealth Games champion, took silver with a throw of 87.82 metres, while Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic took bronze with a throw of 86.67 metres. Kishore Jena of India finished fifth (best of 84.77 m), and DP Manu of India finished sixth (best of 84.14 m).

As the country awoke to the wonderful news of Chopra creating history, congratulations began to flood in for India’s Golden Boy. Several people of the film business congratulated the athlete on his victory.

Actor Shahid Kapoor shared a picture on his Instagram stories and wrote, “Congratulations to our world champion. #Proud.”

Actor Anupam Kher shared a video and captioned it in Hindi, “Neeraj Chopra ki jai. Bharat Mata Ki aur bhi jai. #WorldAthleticChampionship.”

Actor Kay Kay Menon took to his Twitter handle to congratulate Chopra and says, “Our Golden Boy does it again.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a video on her stories and wrote, “So proud of you #Champion.”

Taking to Instagram, Kangana Ranaut shared a post on her stories and wrote, “Congratulations India. Undoubtedly the greatest of all time.”
