Former lovers Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a warm hug at the IIFA 2025 press conference and were also seen having a conversation on Saturday in Jaipur. Their reunion sent their fans into frenzy, and while many could not stop gushing over their warm exchange, Shahid has reacted to the rare public meeting, and said that it’s a common occurrence for them and nothing out of ordinary.
While interacting with the media on the green carpet of the IIFA Digital Awards, the actor said, “For us, it’s nothing new…aaj stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte hai but it’s totally normal for us…if people felt nice, it’s nice.”
Meanwhile, this wasn’t the first time that Shahid and Kareena were seen together on stage. Back in 2024, at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards, Bebo walked past Shahid while he was posed with filmmakers Raj & DK. The moment went viral on the internet as the actress stopped to greet the filmmakers, she chose to ignore Shahid, who kept smiling throughout the whole encounter.
For the unversed, Shahid and Kareena were in a public relationship for several years, however, their relationship ended right before the release of Jab We Met. While Shahid found love in Mira Rajput, with whom he has two kids now, Kareena also moved on and married Saif Ali Khan.
