Shahid Kapoor is a proud husband, and recently in an interview with The Indian Express, he said that he is rooting for his wife Mira Rajput, who co-founded a skincare brand, years after their 2015 marriage and delivering two kids – Misha and Zain.
“I think Mira has her own personality and I have mine… She had made a very strong decision of first having her kids and then chasing her career. And I think that has worked in her favour,” said Shahid. He continued, “Now our kids are much older and she has a lot of time for herself. She is building on things and she did do what she thought she wanted to do as a mother and she dedicated her time. Now, she can slowly feel freer and doing things she wanted to do. I feel prouder and rooting for her.”
Shahid shared that he had Mira as his ‘partner, friend, and a support system’, and now it is his time to return the favor as he kickstarts her professional journey. The couple had an arrange marriage in 2015, when Mira was 21-year-old. They met because they follow the same spiritual path. Mira recently co-founded skincare brand Akind Beauty with Tira Beauty.
As Shahid encouraged Mira to shape her career post motherhood, he also has a busy film careeer. The actor will be soon seen in Deva, portraying the role of a police office. He also has Vishal Bhardwaj’s next, alongside Triptii Dimri, Nana Pateka, Randeep Hooda, and Vikrant Massey.
