Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan endorses decision to rename Fair & Lovely fairness cream

Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan has raised her voice to give her opinion on the news of a big cosmetic giant choosing to remove the word ‘fair’ from its flagship skin cream. Suhana took it to social media platform to share her reaction over the decade old skin cream ‘Fair & Lovely’ dropping the ‘fair’ from its title. The multinational company, Hindustan Unilever Limited, has opted to drop all stereotypical terms from its ‘skin-lightening’ cosmetic products. 

The 20-year-old young diva took to Instagram and gave her reaction about the brand’s decision to rename its best selling skin lightening cream. She possesses a massive following on the platform on which she posted an Instagram story with her reviews. Other than Suhana, other celebrities like actor Abhay Deol and actress Bipasha Basu have also welcomed the decision made by HUL. 

King Khan’s daughter took the same platform to appreciate the HUL’s decision of making their one of the best selling products go through a more ‘diverse portrayal of beauty’.

Representative of Indian subsidiary of the British-Dutch multinational company, Sanjiv Mehta said, “We are making our skin care portfolio more inclusive and want to lead the celebration of a more diverse portrayal of beauty. The brand has never been and is not a bleaching product.”
