Selena Gomez expressed gratitude for Taylor Swift’s unwavering support, describing their long-standing friendship as one built on trust and honesty. During a recent interview, the Only Murders in the Building star acknowledged Swift’s enthusiasm for her latest album, I Said I Love You First, after the pop icon publicly praised it on social media.

Speaking to reporter Emily Curl on Thursday, Gomez noted that she deeply values Swift’s opinion, highlighting her friend’s candid nature. According to Gomez, Swift is among the first to hear her unreleased music, as she seeks her honest feedback before making final selections. She recalled sharing top contenders from each of her albums, eager to hear Swift’s thoughts.

Swift recently took to Instagram to promote Gomez’s latest work, sharing the album’s cover art with an enthusiastic caption: “I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD.” The public endorsement resonated with Gomez, reinforcing the strength of their nearly two-decade-long friendship.

Reflecting on past experiences, Gomez recalled playing Lose You to Love Me for Swift and her mother before its release. She described an emotional moment when both Swift and her mother were moved to tears, further affirming their deep bond.

Gomez, currently promoting her new album alongside fiancé Benny Blanco, acknowledged that while not every song receives overwhelming praise, Swift’s ability to distinguish between “OK” tracks and “knockouts” has played a crucial role in her creative journey.
