The security at Allu Arjun’s residence in Hyderabad has been beefed up on Monday, after it was vandalized by the protestors on Sunday. The tensions grew as the opposition parties in Telangana attacked the ruling Congress party over the incident.

Earlier, on Sunday, six people were arrested from the protesting site, after they damaged flower pots and threw tomatoes at the actor’s home. They identified themselves as members of Osmania University Joint Action Committee. All accused were granted bail on Monday by a city court judge.

Meanwhile, BJP Lok Sabha member DK Aruna claimed that four of the six arrested hailed from Kodangal, the Assembly constituency of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The politician sparked the speculation on whether the vandalization was a Congress conspiracy.

Congress has also been targeted by opposition BRS over the law and order situation in the state. MLA T Harish noted that over 35,499 crimes have been reported in Hyderabada in 2024 and alleged that the stone-pelting stone at superstar’s residence was a “complete failure of governance.”

The attack on Telugu superstar has been condemned by the CM A Revanth Reddy, who also directed stated DGP and the city police commissioner to be tough in maintaining law and order.
