Sanjay Gupta says Sushant Singh Rajput was getting film offers he rejected of his own choice

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta says he was an outsider too, but was accepted by everyone. He asserted that Sushant Singh Rajput was getting film offers which he rejected of his own choice.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta who is known for his unique aesthetics in Bollywood movies had spent most of the lockdown period in his Khandala house. His upcoming movie ‘Mumbai Saga’ stars his favourite actors Emraan Hashmi and John Abraham. Along with this, he is also working on the ‘Shootout’ series and also writing a superhero movie called ‘Rakshak’.

In a chat with ETimes, Sanjay gave his opinion on the Sushant Singh Rajput case and also expressed his views on the insider-outsider debate. Sanjay claimed that he is an outsider and with no contacts in the industry, he was accepted by everyone. According to him, the insider-outsider issue is complete nonsense. He further revealed that hardly anyone has ganged up against him or made him sit at home with no work.

In regards to Sushant, he stated that the late actor was getting film offers but he wasn’t accepting them. Sanjay further said that Sushant was a star and not someone who was struggling to get a movie. Gupta added that Sushant was a bankable star and he could sell movies on his name.

Regarding Sushant’s death probe, Sanjay claimed that the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor and his family should be left alone. There is someone new coming every day with a new discussion on national television. Lastly, he said that no one was speaking and coming forward for Sushant out of love. Everyone’s washing their hands on this issue and these people are doing this for their own benefits.
