Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was caught in the eye of a storm when there were cases of #MeToo against him. Well, it was alleged by several media publications that he had tried to molest his co-star Sanjana Sanghi on the sets of Dil Bechara which then was called Kizzy and Manny!
In an interaction with Pinkvilla Sanjana Sanghi cleared the air saying, not just Sushant, she was bearing the brunt of the news articles too. “People think Sushant was the only one troubled there whereas I was equally troubled.” She told the publication.
She went on to contend, she knew her truth because she was on set with him and that they knew what they meant to each other. Initially, when one or two articles came out, they let it go however then they were flooded with false news. She said, “I have no respect for articles that are baseless. Neither do I have respect for people who write it or believe them.”
She says that nothing changed the dynamic between them because they knew the truth. The only thing was that they had to tell the truth. They would speak about how to rubbish these allegations. They decided to put up chats and even after Sanjana gave her clarification that she was never misbehaved with by Sushant and yet people pointed fingers at him.
When the interviewer asked her if it bothers her when people ask her why she took so long to address the false allegations. She replied that they hurt her and reminds her of the uncomfortable feelings of the past because they didn’t know her reality. She doesn’t want to be the person who would need to clarify all rumours. She lastly said if it was awkward and if there was any truth to those allegations, they would not have gone and finished their Paris schedule and dubbed together and had the love and respect for each other that they did.
