Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed that she has a fever and lost her voice while promoting her next movie Shaakuntalam.
The actress updated her followers and fans on her health via her official Twitter account on April 12. She also mentioned that she wouldn’t be able to make it to a Wednesday event.
“I was really excited to be amongst you all this week promoting my film and soaking in your love. Unfortunately the hectic schedules and promotions have taken its toll, and I am down with a fever and have lost my voice,” Samantha tweeted.
In another tweet, she wrote, “Please join team #Shaakuntalam at the Annual Day Event of MLRIT this evening… will miss you.”

Her followers sent her well wishes for a quick recovery shortly after the actress sent the tweet.
“Take care of yourself and your health Samantha @Samanthaprabhu2 first. Don’t worry you did your work, sit back and relax everything will be alright,” a user commented. Another wrote, “Take care of ur health sam.”
In the meantime, Samantha is prepared to co-star with Dev Mohan in the movie “Shaakuntalam” on the professional front. The movie is scheduled to open in theatres on April 14, 2023. Moreover, she is working with Vijay Deverakonda for the film “Kushi.”
In addition to this, Samantha will co-star with Varun Dhawan in the Indian adaptation of “Citadel.”
The legendary love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant, alternately represented by Samantha and Dev Mohan, is the central theme of Shaakuntalam.
Award-winning filmmaker Gunasekhar wrote and directed the movie, which is based on Kalidasa’s well-known Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam (Rudhramadevi). The movie’s initial release date was set for February 17, 2023.
