On Wednesday, the heavy downpours that overwhelmed Mumbai virtually stopped city life, disrupting multiple sectors, including those in film productions. For the upcoming action movie Sikandar, starring Salman Khan with director AR Murugadoss, the weather challenges affected the project. The film crew has been working hard at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon since late August, preparing for a complex action sequence, according to Mid Day.

Conversely, the heavy rainfall produced a need to alter our plans. The helpful set of lights for the scene posed a considerable risk of electrical short circuits, causing the production team to put safety first and stop the shoot temporarily.

The report added that Salman, bolstered by his excitement for an overnight shoot, had reached the set at 5 pm. According to a source close to production, “The shoot was to start at 7 pm, and the crew was on set by 3 pm. But the incessant rains, the direction team decided to call off the shoot for the day.”

At that point, the IMD had declared a red alert, rendering it impossible for the team to shoot at night in that weather.

In spite of the unfortunate news, the production staff is optimistic about starting filming once again on Friday, if the weather cooperates.
