Saif Ali Khan to be discharged from Lilavati hospital today? Here’s what we know

Saif Ali Khan, who is currently at Lilavati hospital being treated for his multiple stabbing injuries, is likely to be discharged today. The actor underwent a surgery to remove the 2.5 inch knife piece from his spine, after he was attacked by an intruder on January 16, at his Bandra West residence.

The doctors had earlier informed the media that while the actor is out of danger, he will be kept under observation, and he requires rest for a few more days.

Now, a spokesperson of Saif has informed ETimes, that he will be discharged from the hospital today, January 21, afternoon. “As for the duration of rest the actor needs to take it is learnt that the doctors will be deciding after the final examination before discharge,” said the person.

Saif’s statement is also likely to be taken, once he gets discharged from the hospital. He was taken to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw, and according to News24, the auto driver was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 11,000 by a social worker, named Faizan Ansari.

Update on police investigation in Saif’s case

The Mumbai police has arrested the main accused, who has been identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad, 30, and is Bangladeshi resident. He has admitted to the crime and was taken to Saif’s house to recreate the crime scene.
