Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan calls award shows a ‘whole big tamasha’. Saif said many people think that he was undeserving for the National Film Award for ‘Hum Tum’. He also mentioned that he has proved his acting skills time and again in several films. The actor’s latest appearance was seen in the film ‘Dil Bechara’. Many B-Town celebs have been calling out award shows fake.
Saif Ali Khan recently called award shows ‘a whole big drama’. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama: Saif said, ” Yes, I was seen to be underserving of the few award that I received earlier in my career, including the National award of Hum Tum’. But I think over the years I’ve proven myself to be more worthy of recognition”. He mentioned that he doesn’t trust award shows. He also shared one of his incidents when he was called to an award show and a higher person from the organization told him, they wanted to give him the Best Actor Award but now will give Best Actor Award in a Comic Role.

Saif said to the publication, “To be honest, I don’t believe in them. Some years ago I was called for an awards function. When I got there someone higher up in the organization told me, ‘We wanted to give you the Best Actor Award. But you know how it is. We’ll give you the award for Best Actor in a Comic Role”.
