Saif Ali Khan stabbed: Photo of knife lodged in actor’s spine revealed; ‘Was soaked in blood but entered hospital like lion’

A photo of the knife, which allegedly broke off and remained lodged in Saif Ali Khan’s spine, emerged on Friday. Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital said that the it wound was 2mm deeper, the actor would have been in a life-threatening injury.

The doctor added that Saif is a “real hero” as he walked into the hospital like a lion, and avoided using a stretcher, despite being soaked in blood.

Saif was stabbed multiple times by an intruder in his high-rise apartment in posh locality of Bandra West during the early hours of Thursday. He rushed to the hospital with blade still lodged in his thoracic spine.

He underwent multiple surgeries to remove the part of the knife. Dr. Nitin Dange, who performed the operation, said on Thursday, “The actor is stable, recovering well, and out of danger.”

He further explained, “He sustained a serious injury to his thoracic spine. The surgery was necessary to remove the knife and repair the leaking spinal fluid.”
