ETimes approached the auto driver, wherein he revealed, “Unhone kaha tumne time pe pahuchaya badhiya hai (He told me, you made me reach the hospital on time and thanked me).” Upon being asked, if Saif rewarded him with a cash prize, Bhajan said, “Hum baat nahi kar sakte. Humari koi maang nahi hai. Woh joh de woh theek, na de toh theek. Unhone joh diya humne le liya [It is not my prerogative to talk about it. I just took whatever he gave me and I am happy with it as it was not really about any money].”

However, ETimes, citing a source, reported that the auto driver was given Rs. 50,000 as a token of appreciation.
