During Saif Ali Khan‘s appearance on ‘Feels Good with Jacqueline Fernandez and Amanda Cerny’ he was asked to share about his rich legacy and the history of his Nawab family. He shared, that his mother Sharmila Tagore belongs to the lineage of Rabindranath Tagore, the famous poet and painter. He also added that his ‘ammi’ has worked with prolific directors like that of Satyajit Ray. He adds that, Sharmila was like the filmmakers ‘muse’ who thought of her as the ‘ultimate representation of their art’.
Later the ‘Bhoot Police’ actor revealed that he believes that his sons Ibrahim Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan would also join the same industry. “My sister is kind of in the movies, my wife, my ex-wife as well… So all of us. My daughter, my elder son wants to be an actor, and I think Taimur will be an actor for sure, he’s entertaining us already”, he shared.
In a previous interview with SpotboyE, he had informed that, “Ibrahim seems prepared for a career in acting. And why not? I’d like all my children to be in this profession. It is the best place to work in,” and added, “I remember at 17-18 I was a mess. Acting saved me from self-destruction. Having the job, the sense of identity it has given me and the job satisfaction and the enjoyment it has given me are more than I could ask for.”
Seems like the khan lineage is going to continue for the next generation as well. Well, Taimur is already a star but seeing him in screen is going to be even more exciting.
