Actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, who became father to a baby boy in March, expressed his fear of returning to the sets soon in an interview with the Times of India. The shoot for the show ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ is all set to begin soon and the actor has to return to the sets for work. The actor plays an important role in Rajan Shahi’s show.
Expressing his fear and revealing his decision to fulfil his responsibility to the show, Ruslaan says, “My character will affect the relationship between the lead pair, Mishti (Rhea Sharma) and Abir (Shaheer Sheikh). I decided to accept this role, because it is like a stroke of good luck after the birth of my baby. These are difficult times when actors are replaced, storylines are changed and shows are axed. I could never say ‘no’ to this opportunity, especially at a time when actors and technicians don’t know when they will land their next big project.”
Voicing his concern over the risks the actor might be exposing his family, Ruslaan told TOI that he is very scared to start shooting because along with himself, he is also responsible for every individual in his family. But in this dilemma, the actor also acknowledged that everyone has professional responsibilities and he also has to think about my career.
Ruslaan also addressed the uncertainty of the situation by saying that, “Nobody can say for sure when the COVID-19 crisis will end. So, it does not make sense to keep refusing offers. It’s important that I take the necessary precautions and return to work.”
