This movie has been in the spotlight ever since the star cast was declared, which had the ‘Jalebi’ actress’s name along with Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. Recently, the director Rumi Jaffrey has announced why the makers are keeping a away from the media publicity.
Rumi Jaffrey, spoke in an interview and explained that Rhea won’t be endorsing the film as she is handling with trauma she underwent last year. Rhea wasn’t seen on the promotion posters of the film. In an conversation with entertainment portal Spotboye, Rumi Jaffrey revealed that Rhea isn’t the leading part of the movie and audiences shouldn’t expect the film because of ‘her’.
He said, “To be honest, she doesn’t have that much to do in Chehre. So those who go to see my film in the hope of getting a good look at Rhea are in for a disappointment. The main focus of interest is Bachchan Saab and Emraan’s jugalbandi. Their interaction is what gives the film its tense appeal.” He further added, “Abhhi woh apne haadse se nikal hi rahi hai (She’s just getting out of her trauma).”
