During the investigation, the police found cars without road tax, without import duty, with inaccurate registration, fabricated documents, and documents of the old owner in these cars. Now let us tell you about how Amitabh Bachchan’s name is related to this.
Amitabh peddled his Rolls Royce Phantom a few years back, which was gifted to him by filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. In 2019, Amitabh vend Phantom worth Rs 3.5 crore to Bengaluru-based businessman Yusuf Sharif aka Scrap Babu. He manages a real estate company named Umrah Developers in Bangalore.
According to officials, Yusuf Sharif had purchased a Rolls-Royce Phantom car from Amitabh Bachchan for Rs 6 crore, while the original cost of the car was Rs 3.5 crore. But Yusuf did not get his name cited in the document as the owner of the car and started running the car. When Yusuf’s driver parked the car on MG Road, the police seized it. Later the driver went to the RTO office and requested the officials to release the car. On this, the officials said that first enlist the car in the name of Yusuf Sharif and pay the road tax till now, only then you can take the car.
