Several videos and photos from Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin, Aadar Jain’s wedding with Alekha Advani had been surfacing online, however, one of them, featuring the actor’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni with her daughter Samara, gained the most attention.

The video in particular featured the mother – daughter duo posing for the paparazzi, when they were joined by Riddhima’s mother, Neetu Kapor. What seemed odd was Samara pushing away her nani, out of frustration and she seemed upset.

During a conversation with Hindustan Times, Riddhima has set the records straight as she clarified that her daughter’s gesture was “blown out of proportion.” She added that Samara was very excited and was trying to pose.

She explained, “The poor child was only trying to pose. She wasn’t upset. She was very excited, so much so that in the car she kept saying, ‘Oh my God, I’m sure there are gonna be photographers and I’m gonna pose like this and that’. And because the paparazzi were asking us to come together, she just wanted to pose on her own. She didn’t push her nani.”

Riddhima, who recently appeared in Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives shared that her daughter was also confused by the online speculations, and had also questioned, ‘When did I push her? I was trying to pose myself. I was just trying to extend my arm and get comfortable. I was posing. I never pushed anyone’.

Riddhima pointed out that during the previous interaction, when Samara was being goofy, it had raised eyebrows of a certain section of society. She added that now when she did not do anything they again have a problem.

Aadar and Alekha got married as per Hindu traditions on February 21, in Mumbai, after tying the knot as per Christian rituals in Goa last month. Their Mumbai function was a star studded event with celebs such a Gauri Khan, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda in attendance.
