Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her first child with actor husband Ranveer Singh, attended a pre-release event of her upcoming movie Kalki 2898 AD a few days ago. For the event, the actress flaunted her baby bump in black bodycon outfit paired with matching black tie-up high heels. While many adored her stylish look, a certain section of netizens slammed the actress for wearing heels during pregnancy. The actress is set to welcome her kid in September 2024.
The criticism sparked a debate on social media with some users expressing concern over her wearing heels. However, the backlash was met with support for Deepika from fellow celebrities and influencers. An influencer shared a video, wherein she stated that it her choice as to what she wants to wear.
Richa Chadha, who is expecting her first child with actor husband Ali Fazal, also showcased support towards Deepika as she commented on the influencer’s post, “no uterus, no gyaan(opinion).” The couple are expected to welcome their kid in July 2024.
Meanwhile, Deepika and Ranveer had recently jetted off to London for their babymoon. They returned back to bay a couple of days ago.
