Actress Richa Chadha and her boyfriend Ali Fazal donated 1,000 PPE kits to the frontline warriors amidst the pandemic. Fans have been appreciating this act of the both the actors. Eco-warrior Dr RK Nair did something extraordinary to praise this act. He is known to plant around six lakhs trees across seven states of the country. To acknowledge and praise the act of Richa and Ali, he planted 1000 saplings in Gujarat, hence kickstarting a plantation drive.
According to Mid-day, Richa expressed that she is touched by this gesture. She said, “That we need to step up to protect the environment in the face of the pandemic, is an understatement. The need of the hour is a systemic shift in how we perceive nature. The capability of being a hero is in each of us, and Dr Nair’s gesture makes us want to do more for the world.”
Ali Fazal, on the other hand, supported this campaign and took to his social media to share the message. He said, “It’s a big step forward because during this lockdown, I have realised the power of good and reach.”
Meanwhile, the couple were planning to get engaged in April but due to pandemic, they have postponed it to the latter half of 2020. They have been dating for around 3 years now.
