Bollywood lovebirds Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are expecting their first child after nearly three years of marriage. Last year, the couple disclosed that they had been “legally married” for 2.5 years before remarrying in a lavish ceremony in October 2023.
On Friday, Richa and Ali shared a combined Instagram post delivering the wonderful news to the world. They uploaded a beautiful photo of the two, in which they can be seen looking into each other’s eyes.
“A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world,” the caption read, along with an emoticon of a pregnant woman. They also shared a picture of a note, which read, “1+1=3”.
As soon as they shared the news, the comments section under the post was flooded with congratulatory wishes and blessings.
“I love you three,” Dia Mirza commented, while Mrunal Thakur wrote, “Yayyy congratulations.” “Call me when you need,” Kalki Koechlin quipped.
In October 2023, Richa and Ali staged lavish pre-wedding festivities in both Lucknowi and Punjabi styles. Later, they even had a star-studded reception celebration in Mumbai, which was attended by the who’s who of Bollywood.
Richa and Ali met on the set of their 2012 film Fukrey, and they fell in love during filming. The couple reported that, despite being legally married for 2.5 years, they were unable to arrange a lavish wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
