Remembering Raj Kapoor: Some rare snaps of the greatest showman India ever had

The greatest showman of India, Raj Kapoor was known for his stardom and impeccable record of hit movies he gave as an actor and director.

He appeared in the movies the first time when he was ten years old when he acted in Inquilab in 1935. From then he acted in movies without getting success for the next 12 years. The launchpad he got was from the role he got in Neel Kamal in 1947 opposite of Madhubala. After then he didn’t look back; he gave Indian cinema back to back masterpieces like Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Chori Chori (1956), Jagte Raho (1956) Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Anhonee (1952), Aah (1953), Anari (1959), Chhalia (1960) and Dil Hi To Hai (1963). The hit social film Boot Polish was also produced by him which was released in 1954.
