After Bollywood rapper Badshah was summoned by the Mumbai Crime Branch in the last two days regarding the fake social media followers, he has reportedly confessed to having paid a whopping amount of Rs 72 lakh for his single titlted ‘Pagal Hai’.

Today the rapper reportedly confessed to have been paying Rs 72 lakh to an agency to gain maximum followers for his number.

He has again been summoned on 9 August ’20 as reported by Zee news.

Meanwhile, Chtrbox, one of the leading social media influencers marketing company was last year accused of leaking private data of as many as 49 million Instagram users.

It’s CEO, Pranay Swarup might also be in the radar. The company is one of its popular tools Boombox has included names such as Virat Kohli, Priyanka Chopra and Badshah as its clients. However, incidentally, after Badshah was interrogated, his profile has been eliminated.

According to crime branch sources , many high profiles have been included into his list.
In his statement to crime branch , Swarup reported his monthly income to be 9 crores with an overwhelming 3,00,000 clientele.
Badshah is reportedly the first celebrity to be called in case of fake followers. List of all his followers have been sought by the police.

In the investigation till now, Mumbai Police have found a few Bollywood celebrities, sports personalities and as many as 176 high profile people who have allegedly paid to gain followers on social media.
