Ranvir Shorey now reveals the ‘despair he went through’ at 33, ‘with the SAME PEOPLE who are now involved’

Actor Ranvir Shorey grabbed the headlines when he called out to “independent film crusaders” who have become “mainstream Bollywood flunkies,” and he thereafter got into a long drawn argument with Anurag Kashyap who took offense to his tweet. When he took to Twitter to reveal the ordeal he went through, a social media user asked him to get inspired by Kangana Ranaut and name the perpetrators to which Ranvir replied that he refrains from taking names because he doesn’t have the proof against the ones involved.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “I don’t take any names ‘cause I have no evidence to prove their complicity! But the reason I speak is, I went through the same professional & social isolation, bad mouthing & lies in the press, and psychological trauma from 2003 to 2005 with the same people who are now involved.”

Ranvir went on to reveal that he was at wit’s end and he was absolutely shattered, so much so that he decided to go away from the country. He also stated that it was because of his family and some friends that he could recover from that situation. Further stating that he too was 33 years old when it all transpired.

He wrote, “The despair I went through at the time was enough to break me, but I survived thanks to my family and a few friends. I even had to leave the country because of how toxic the environment got for me. Coincidence? No. Modus operandi? Yes.”
