Almost 11 years ago, Bollywood Actor Randeep Hooda met with an accident during a game of Polo where the horse he was riding, Raja, somehow slipped and fell on him sideways. When the horse got up, the actor still had his leg stuck in the stirrups. The actor was thankful that the horse just stood there, instead of running and he wasn’t dragged behind him or trampled by Raja, the horse.
After the incident, Randeep was left with a broken leg which was temporarily fixed with a metal plate and was fastened with screws in the place till the bones had the time to heal. He expressed that ever since he had this incident, he was either short of time or money to get the surgery done.
Randeep went through the surgery during the Lockdown period, as he had an ample amount of both, time and money. On his recovery, Randeep said, “The leg is carrying my weight now. I should be able to run and ride in another week.” Talking about his action scenes, he hopes that the action scenes do not require him to take painkillers. Randeep said, “The metal has been carrying me around since Once Upon A Time in Mumbai after all. I hope it doesn’t take away some of my dignity.”
