Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tie knot in a traditional Manipuri wedding

Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot in a private ceremony in Imphal, Manipur. The newlyweds wore traditional Manipuri wedding garb, Lin was dressed in a cylindrical skirt known as a potloi or polloi, which is composed of sturdy bamboo and thick cloth, as well as, an exquisite white and pink saree with a black top and gold jewelry, and Randeep wearing an all-white kurta, a turban and dhoti. There were close friends and family members all around them.

When asked about the wedding, Randeep seemed excited and said that he was looking forward to experiencing Lin’s culture and this Manipuri-style wedding. He also stated his excitement about embracing Lin’s traditions. He also expressed his two hopes for the future: a large family and plenty of wealth.


Looking back on their trip, Lin Laishram disclosed that the couple had become acquainted with Naseeruddin Shah’s theater company, Motley. Prior to their friendship developing into a marriage, they were both pals. On social media, the couple’s wedding ensemble has gained immense popularity.

On November 27, the pair arrived in Imphal. Following temple visits for blessings, Lin and Randeep toured a relief camp in Moirang and Loktak Lake. They enjoyed quality time with Lin’s family and friends, engaging in enjoyable pre-wedding festivities. Randeep and Lin will soon organize a reception in Mumbai.
