Ramayan: Laxman Sunil Lahri was sceptical about Arvind Trivedi playing Raavan

The COVID-19 induced lockdown has really been tough on all and sundry. No outdoor activities are being done, the shootings of the films have been stalled. No new films are releasing and the entertainment industry is literally in shambles.

However, one good thing that happened during lockdown is that the TV channels started airing old serials and the show that caught our attention is Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan.

It didn’t just bring back memories, it also brimmed us with nostalgia and literally got rid of our lockdown melancholy. Also, as the industry stands still, with no new production, airing old shows helped in maintaining the audience intact with the channels.

Ramayan and Mahabharat, got so popular that these shows garnered the highest TRPs of all time. Which again put an end on the speculation of whether these old shows would work or no.

Actor Sunil Lahri who played the role of Laxman in Ramayan took to his Instagram a few hours ago to make yet another very interesting revelation. The actor shared that when he met Arvind Trivedi, who played the character of Raavan in the series, for the first time, he was under the impression that the latter is on set to meet someone. Later, when he got to know that Arvind would be playing Raavan, he was extremely put off! Sunil thought that he wouldn’t be able to perform such a strong role.

But when Trivedi took up the attire of Raavan, Sunil was taken by surprise and he later revealed that it was unbelievable to see such a transformation.

Today, in retrospect, if we ever have to imagine Ram, Laxman, Sita and Raavan in person, the characters from this Ramanand Sagar’s epic show comes to the mind. Do you feel the same too? Do let us know in the comments section.
