Recently it was announced that Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn will be sharing the screen after 13 years for a project. After working on films like Major Saab, Khakee and Satyagrah, the two actors will be part of Ajay’s directorial project, Mayday. A new addition to the cast was announced earlier today.
Actress Rakul Preet Singh has signed to essay a key role in the film. She will be seen playing the role of a co-pilot in the film which is said to be an edge-of-the-seat drama. While it is her second project with Ajay after De De Pyaar De, this is the first time she is sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan.
The news was revealed by business analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh on his Twitter account. The actress is said to start working on the film from December and the shooting will take place in Hyderabad. Sharing her thoughts on joining the Mayday team, Rakul said, “I have worked with Ajay sir in the past and extremely thrilled to be working with him yet again as his co-pilot in a film where he is not just my co-star but director too. When I decided to be an actor like all the other aspiring actors I had a dream to work with Mr Bachchan and I am so glad that with this film my dream to share screen space with him will come true.”
