Rakul Preet Singh didn’t seem too happy when someone asked her about producer Vashu Bhagnani, who is her father-in-law. The actress was visiting IIFA 2024 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi and was interacting with the media on the green carpet. She was being quizzed on all kinds of subjects, from De De Pyaar De 2 to official updating on everything. It seems she didn’t expect a question over Vashu Bhagnani’s financial problems.
A reporter present at the press interaction tried to ask Rakul regarding the allegations against Vashu, with regard to non-payments and his tiff with Netflix. “There are reports coming in the media about Vashu sir and a lot of people have said…” the journalist tried asking Rakul when she cut the question, apologised and walked away.
For those unversed, many professionals who have worked on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan have accused Vashu of non-payments. Director Ali Abbas Zafar said that the producer of not paying him his dues. In fact, the director has accused Bhagnanis of not paying him Rs 7.30 crores, which was his fee for directing the movie.
Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment have lodged a complaint against the film director Ali who they accuse of siphoning the subsidy funds he had taken from Abu Dhabi authorities during the shooting schedule of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
