Raju Srivastava, India’s popular stand-up comedian, is gravely ill and has been hospitalised to New Delhi’s AIIMS for the last week after suffering a heart attack. While stories of his health worsening and physicians praying for a miracle circulate, his wife Shikha Srivastava exclusively told ETimes TV that the comedian is stable and requested everyone to stop circulating rumours since it is very upsetting.
“Raju ji’s health is steady, physicians are performing their jobs properly, and the entire management is working around the clock to ensure that Raju ji recovers quickly. We have complete trust in them, and Raju ji is a fighter who will win this battle. He will battle it out and return to delight you all, that is my pledge to you. We are receiving wishes and blessings, and many people are praying and performing puja for his wellness, and the energy is extremely pleasant. I know my prayers will not go unanswered. I really want to encourage everyone to keep praying for their wellness” She stated.
When asked about claims that doctors have fallen back and are praying for a miracle, she responds, “Doctors appear in the shape of God on Earth. They are doing quite well, and the rumours that they have given up are false. Things are being addressed medically, which will take time. We must fight and patiently await the difficulties. Doctors and Raju ji are both fighting, and everyone will find out the outcome very soon. I guarantee Raju will return to delight everyone.”
She also asked that no rumours regarding the comedian’s health be disseminated because the family is in a very emotional condition, which is upsetting. “Please, with folded hands, refrain from spreading these rumours concerning Raju’s health. The family, the physicians, and everyone’s morale suffer as a result of these rumours. We don’t want the criticism to harm them since they are giving their all. We need prayers right now, and we need to stop spreading bad news. These rumours are quite concerning” She said in conclusion.
