Rahul Roy is on the road to recovery after suffering a cerebrovascular stroke last year. The ‘Aashiqui’ hero is working on a new music video and is making efforts to bring his life back to track.
In an interview with ETimes, he shared about his near-death experience with cerebrovascular stroke and said, “I have learnt through this incident, that we, like actors, must take risks, but not at the cost of our own lives. It is dangerous to just trust random, unripe professionals who have no idea of the process of making films and may do hazardous things to achieve their goals.”
He also added advising aspiring actors, “Don’t let your work go to your head and don’t let anybody take your advantage. You must only trust amateurs and the right professionals.”
The actor presently focusing on his health to get better soon, gave thanks to his fans and showed no regret about the trajectory of his career.
Alluding to his experience of working with Mahesh Bhatt, Rahul Rou said, “Mahesh Bhatt sir is an incredible person on sets. He knew what he was making.”

“He always told me you would be a superstar and that is exactly what happened. So that’s going to be my fondest memory of him.”
Rahul believes Film Industry has changed considerably, in his on and off career, the actor saw the rising of new OTT platforms which have become a way to give work to new actors and technicians irrespective of age.
Shedding light on his personal life Rahul says, “I don’t have too many friends in the industry. I just have a few, and we hardly hang out. However, whenever we meet, we cherish the old days.”
Considering the idea to write a book about his many experiences the actor said, “It’s a good thought and I will surely think of writing it myself or bring on someone to do that for me.”
Rahul Roy is presently working on a film that will showcase his methodical acting and the actor wishes that it will also help shed his image as a romantic actor but give new pathways to his career as an actor.
