Punjabi actor turned activist Deep Sidhu has been arrested by Delhi Police. Sidhu is accused of spicing up the farmers’ protest during the Republic day. The Delhi Police Special Cell made a public statement to reveal these details.
Last week the Delhi police had announced a 1 lakh rupee reward for the one who shares details about Deep Sidhu.
Further, as per the reports it has been found that, several raids were conducted to find the accused. After the tractor rally on 26th January, Deep Sidhu’s video went viral on social media platforms. He was clearly seen taking part in killing the decorum of the protest. Till now more than 44 FIR have been registered against the protestors. Moreover, more than 127 people have been arrested by the Delhi police.
Sidhu was heard saying, “We will put our Nishan Sahib flag on the Red Fort to make this protest symbolic.” Sidhu and his brother, Mandeep Singh were among those summoned by the NIA earlier this month.
