After the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14 2020, there is a wave of shock and grief across the nation. The actor’s fans are not ready to believe that Sushant could commit suicide, although he was found hanging in his Bandra apartment in Mumbai. There is a constant demand for the CBI investigation in this case. Meanwhile, Amit Thakkar has recently filed a PIL in Bombay High Court. He is seeking the constitution for a probable SIT or CBI investigation in Sushant’s suicide case.

According to Republic World, the PIL claimed that Sushant was distressed about the film Paani and the same was stated by director Shekhar Kapur too. The petitioner claimed that in order to work in Paani, the actor denied seven big films in Bollywood, and at the last moment, the film was called off.

Through the PIL, the role of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is also being questioned in Sushant’s case and the conversations that took place between him and the banner with regard to the film Drive.

In the PIL, the social activist claimed that Karan Johar ‘insulted’ Sushant and called him a ‘flop star’ and that Salman and Sushant’s spat was out in the open.

“The actor has committed suicide which needs to be investigated, the bigwigs of Bollywood systematically sidelined him and left him with no option but to take the extreme step,” Republicworld quoted the PIL

Earlier, just after the actor’s death, a petition was filed in Bihar court against Salman Khan, Ekta Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar for apparently instigating Sushant’s suicide. But, due to jurisdictional limitations, Bihar Court had to dismiss the case, according to a report in PTI.

There are many known personalities from the industry who have come together to seek justice for the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor. Some of them include Shekhar Suman, Roopa Ganguly, Shatrughan Sinha, Kangana Ranaut and also the BJP MP Subramanian Swamy.

According to the latest update, Mahesh Bhatt was summoned by the Mumbai Police for the interrogation on Monday. He revealed that he had known Sushant through his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and had only met the actor twice. Also, the CEO of ‘Dharma Productions’ will reportedly be interrogated by the Mumbai Police this week. Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh assured that if found necessary, the producer-director Karan Johar will also be summoned for the interrogation.
