Priyanka Chopra’s mother reveals the couple is waiting for the pandit to name their child

The couple has not named their child yet as they are waiting for the pandit. The couple welcomed their first child last month through surrogacy.

Priyanka Chopra’s mother Dr. Madhu Chopra celebrated 14 years of her cosmetic clinic on Saturday 26th February at an event in Mumbai. While talking to the media she was asked how she feels now that she has become a grandmother, to this Madhu replied, “Nani bane toh bahut bahut Khushi hui mujhe,” she said at the event. She further said that she was grinning ear-to-ear about it. “I am only smiling all the time. I’m very happy,” she added.

The media then asked the doctor whether the couple have decided what to call the kid as the gender of the baby is not yet revealed by the popular couple. To this she replied by saying, “Abhi Nahi Rakha hai. Jab pandit Naam nikaalege tab Hoga. Abhi Nahi (We haven’t finalized it yet. When the priest gives us the name, then it will happen. Not now),” she said.

As Priyanka and Nick had their baby via surrogacy the couple posted the happy news on their Instagram handles and wrote, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much,” they wrote.

Since then neither of the parents had posted any news regarding the baby. Now we understand what is making them halt, All the fans and family members are eagerly waiting to know the child’s name and gender as no picture of the baby was shared into the media by the couple.
