The I-me-myself breed of Bollywood has a lot of lessons to learn. Who told you it is the abode of narcissists? Well, not everybody is one. The White Tiger actors Priyanka Chopra and Rajkumar Rao has forfeited the limelight for their co-star Adarsh Gourav. It is a lesson for many in the industry.
Reports emerge that it is a self-conscious decision by them to let Adarsh take center-stage.
“See, they knew from the start that The White Tiger was Adarsh Gourav’s film. They knew it was his film from the moment they agreed to get on board with the project. Director Ramin Bahrani is a formidable talent. He was not going to increase Priyanka’s role just because she’s a global star. From the start, she and Raj knew the extent of their parts. Despite this, they were okay with Gourav taking center stage in the film,” informs a source close to the project.
Gourav gets stupefied with the amount of attention he is receiving. He was also dazed by how comfortable Priyanka made him feel on set. She presented Gourav to the American media as the star of the show.
