Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside several celebrities mourn the death of comedian Raju Srivastava

After 41 long days of grievous battle of life and death the ace comedian Raju Srivastava finally passes away. Several celebrities irrespective of different fields in the industry including prime minister of India Narendra Modi mourned his death.

After 41 long days of grievous battle of life and death the ace comedian Raju Srivastava finally passes away today at around 10:20 in the morning at AIIMS Delhi. His age was 58 years old. Raju was admitted to AIIMS Delhi on August 10 after he collapsed while working out at a gym due to sudden chest pain.

For more than a month the man was surviving over a ventilator. His condition was recovering slowly but he was unconscious as affirmed by his family members. His brother Dipoo Srivastava told “The recovery is slow. He will be fine soon. He is stable and on a ventilator. He is still unconscious. It’s been 35 days but doctors are saying they are doing their best. We need all your prayers,”

Today on Raju Srivastava’s sorrowful demise several celebrities irrespective of fields and industries extended condolences and regards for him including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi wrote in Twitter, “Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

One of the famous personalities in the field of Sports, Virender Sehwag pens, “Om Shanti, Raju Bhai. A genuine comedian who made people laugh with clean humour and sharp observation. Condolences to his family and fans. rajusrivastav“.

Sonu Sood shares one of his pictures  with a heartbroken emoticon and tagging him ‘Bhai’ wishes his soul may rest in peace.

Film director Vivek Agnihotri mourns his brother and friend Raju. He said, “My brother, friend & the country’s wave of happiness, Raju Srivastava is no more. I’m deeply saddened. An artist like him is rarely seen, India hasn’t seen another like him. I pray that his soul rests in peace. My prayers are with his family, fans”.

Kailash Kher addressed him “elder brother” and “family friend” and shares a video remembering him.

Madhur Bhandarkar mourns the loss and shares one of his pictures with him writes, “Saddened to hear the tragic news of Raju Srivastav’s untimely demise. He made us all laugh with his amazing comic timing for so many years we have lost a gem. My deepest condolences to his family members & admirers. omshanti

Shekhar Suman one of the close friends of Raju Srivastava shared a painful tweet after the demise of the late comedian: “Wat I was dreading for the past one month has happened.Raju Srivastava has left all of us for his heavenly abode.Devastated to hear the news.May God grant him eternal peace.omshanti“.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit spoke to the Srivastava family after the death of comedian Raju. He wrote in his tweet, “Spoke to rajusrivastava’s family. He is no more. Passed away half an hour ago. A great loss to the industry. Our heartfelt condolences to the family & near ones. Will never forget you. ॐ शान्ति !”.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath also extended condolences. He wrote “Raju Srivastava is no more with us. I, on behalf of the people of UP, pray that his soul rests in peace. I extend my condolences to his family”.

Nimrat Kaur opens up at Twitter wishes his journey after life may be filled with blessings and light.

Akhilesh Yadav said, “It’s regretful that Raju Srivastava is no more with us. He came from a poor family with his talent & hard work; created his presence in the world. Very few talented comedians like him. I remember how he wanted to contest from Kanpur when he joined SP”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh pens a note in Hindi and shares condolences and grief to his family.

Actor Rajpal Yadav mourned the loss of the popular comedian. He wrote, “I have no words to describe this loss. You have left us all too soon. You will be missed my brother. I just can’t believe this. (with crying and broken heart emojis)

Raju started his journey with the entertainment industry since the 1980s and rose to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. Later on, he appeared in one of the hot favourite shows on Television like Comedy Cirkus, Comedy Nights With Kapil Sharma.

He has also offered his works in supporting roles in Hindi films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, the remake of Bombay to Goa and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya. Before his death, he was the chairman of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
