The tragic and astounding demise of one of the most exceptional Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has created a wave of speculation on the circumstances that might have been the major cause behind his death. One such hypothesis that has recently been stirred by his supporters is that the time of Sushant’s death was updated on Wikipedia a few hours prior to his death. The 34 years old actor was found dead on June 14th in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. As per the witnesses, the death was due to the severe depression that Sushant was combating for months, however, there is a considerable amount of disagreement amongst his supporters and close relatives for the same.
The statement released by the police was that Sushant committed suicide due to depression after 10 AM in the morning, however, as per the trending tweets on Twitter, the information regarding his death had been updated on his Wikipedia page at 8:59 AM, that has instigated several conspiracy theories amongst the crowd. Regardless of such stark differences in the timezone, before we draw up any conclusion we must consider the fact that Wikipedia is an open-source website, wherein, the content updated on the page can be edited from time to time due to which it’s authenticity is always in question.

Moreover, we must lay emphasis on the time zone that Wikipedia uses i.e the UTC (Coordinated Universal Time ). As per the sources, the edit on Sushant’s Wikipedia page was done at 8:59 UTC, which is five and a half hours behind the IST (Indian Standard Time zone), therefore it means that the information was updated at 2:29 PM as per the IST. Perhaps, the very claim is itself now in question.
