Adult Film Case: Apex court grants relief to Gehana Vasisth from arrest

The bench gave an end to the Bombay High Court ruling that had before dismissed the actress’ anticipatory bail request. After the Bombay High Court’s ruling, Gehana reached the apex court and got relief as it ordered that Gehana will not be imprisoned in the FIR reported against her.

Actor Gehana Vasisth on Wednesday was conferred pre-arrest bail by Supreme Court in the still in progress adult films racket issue. An FIR had been registered against Gehana in a Porn Films racket that also includes Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra.

The Supreme Court gave relief to Gehana Vasisth from the charge reported by ANI. The bench that delivered the order was presided by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul. The bench gave an end to the Bombay High Court ruling that had before dismissed the actress’ anticipatory bail request. After the Bombay High Court’s ruling, Gehana reached the apex court and got relief as it ordered that Gehana will not be imprisoned in the FIR reported against her. Yet, it also added that she have to give her full assistance in the ongoing investigation.

However, this was the third FIR reported against Gehana. Earlier, there were two other FIRs registered against her, and she apprehends and jailed for a few months in two initial cases as well. According to reports the earlier case was filed after the user claimed that Gehana Vasisth, who was allegedly directing porn films, imperiled, compelled, and lured women by offering them money, to act in improper film videos.

The complainant claimed that Gehana threatened and lured women to work in these videos which were then uploaded on a mobile application that was allegedly run by Raj Kundra. Nevertheless, Kundra was granted bail earlier this week.
