A petition has been filed against ‘Leo’ director Lokesh Kanagaraj at the Madurai court for excessive use of violent content in his films. The complaint also suggests a psychological evaluation of the director. The petition was filed by Raju Murugan and he seeks to ban Kanagaraj’s films.

The petitioner claims that Lokesh’s film such as Leo promotes the use of drugs and violence against children and women. It encourages people to commit crimes as shown in the movie. He has also requested the Central Board of Film Certification to be more diligent before certifying any film.

He further argues that Lokesh’s film contains concepts such as drug trafficking, riots, illegal activities and malpractices and gives the masses a clue of how such things can be performed with the help of the police.

The petitioner has also requested a ban on Leo film. He asserts a thorough psychological examination of Lokesh Kanagaraj by undertaking appropriate legal measures.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s latest film Leo featured Vijay in the lead role. The film has been highly acclaimed by the audience and it has received mixed reviews. The film is based on the Hollywood film A History of Violence.
