Pankaj Tripathi gives neutral reaction to Ranveer Allahbadia’s sensitive remark on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent

Pankaj Tripathi has now joined the list of Bollywood celebrities reacting to the viral controversial comment made by Ranveer Allahbadia at Samay Raina’s show. During a conversation with Screen, the actor was asked about sensibility when people become famous. He said that an absence of censorship does not mean a person “can say anything in the name of entertainment.”

“The thing with the internet is that a lot of people become popular faces all of a sudden. They find name and fame, but where is the sensibility? Do they have the required intelligence, in terms of literary knowledge, social behaviour, etc?… Just because there is no clear censorship, it doesn’t mean you can say anything in the name of entertainment. See, it is okay to have fun saying nonsense, but it is not okay to have pride in uttering nonsense,” stated Pankaj.

The actor also explained that while he is not arguing over who is right or wrong, but if someone has the power of word, where people are influenced by what you have to say, then it is important you shoulder that responsibility. He also mentioned that not much importance should be given to this, as anybody can go viral, but just like an illness, it will only stay in limelight for a few days.
