Durgesh Kumar, who currently has no dates left for upcoming two years due to the popularity post Panchayat, reveals that he was once forced to take up a role in an erotic drama called Virgin Bhasskar, that he described as “soft porn.” The actor has become a fan favorite for his boldness and rawness in Panchayat as Bhushan aka Banrakas, played the role of Bhatuknath in two seasons of Virgin Bhasskar, which was produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.
In a conversation with Indian Express, the actor said, “Meri majburi thi. (I was helpless).”
Durgesh has worked with some of the notable filmmakers like Imtiaz Ali in movie Highway. However, he still was struggling to get work and his desperation for money made him took up a role in Virgin Bhasskar. He explained that he was not forced to do the erotic drama, but he did not have any option left.
The actor was also seen playing interesting roles in movies such as Bhakshak and Laapataa Ladies.
