Atif Aslam, the Pakistani singer who once commanded millions of Indian hearts, is about to return to Bollywood after a seven-year absence. Following the 2016 Uri terror assault, India barred Pakistani artists from working in the country, bringing the singer’s tenure in B-Town to an end.

Atif is preparing to make his Bollywood comeback with a song in the film Love Story of the 90s, which stars Adhyayan Suman and Divita Rai. While the makers have yet to provide any specifics about the song, they have guaranteed that it would be a lovely melody, as the singer is renowned and loved for.

“This song will be a delight for the audience and will become a big hit in 2024,” the song’s makers said.

Atif has yet to issue an official statement regarding his Bollywood comeback, but the news has undoubtedly sent his fans into a frenzy. Atif Aslam has had some of his biggest chartbusters in India. He began with the songs Adat, Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein, and Pehli Nazar Mein, among others, and went on to release blockbusters such as Be Intehaan, Tera Hone Laga Hoon, and Dil Diya Gallan.

In just a decade, the singer carved out a name for himself in Bollywood, challenging other great vocalists of the period.

Following the Uri assaults, Pakistani artists were prohibited from working in India; however, the Bombay High Court recently overturned the judgement, arguing that one does not need to be adverse to artists from the neighbouring country in order to prove themselves to be a patriot.
