Since the Taliban captured Kabul it’s all gone crazy and scary in Afghanistan. Videos were surfaced online showing citizens of Afghanistan fleeing the country in any way possible. Flights were stacked with people like cargoes, some even clung to the wheels of aircraft. One of such people evacuating the country was the famous Afghan pop star, Aryana Sayeed. On Instagram, she revealed of taking a US Cargo to Doha and then a commercial flight to Istanbul back home. She was one of the lucky Afghans who were successful in leaving the country, many even lost their lives in the stampede at Kabul Airport.
Aryana had insane popularity in Afghanistan as a singer and composer. She was the judge of a singing reality show, Afghan Star. On successful evacuation, while speaking to ANI she expressed her love for India and how India has been a true friend of Afghanistan in difficult times. She said, “On behalf of entire Afghanistan, I want to express my utmost gratitude to India and I want to say thank you. Over the years we’ve realized that the only good friend amongst the neighbourhood we have is, India.”
During the conversation with ANI, she described Pakistan as the safe haven of the Taliban and accused them of interfering in Afghanistan politics. She added, “very time our govt would catch a Talib, they’d see identification & it’d be a Pakistani person, it’s very obvious that it’s them. I do blame them and I hope that they back off and don’t interfere in the politics in Afghanistan anymore.”
