Adipurush, starring Prabhas in the role of Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Ravana, has been one of the most criticised films when it was released last year. The audience and critics slammed the movie for its pedestrian dialogues, terrible visual effects, and caricaturist acts. As per a report by Sacnilk, the movie also emerged as one of the biggest flops in the Bollywood film industry as it was made on a record amount of Rs. 500 crore and it collected only Rs. 288 crore net in India and Rs. 393 crore gross on a global scale.
Now, in a recent conversation with Amol Parchure for his YouTube channel, director Om Raut said that Adipurush has done well at box office and called Prabhas as the ‘flop proof’ actor.
Om’s statement has been shared on the Reddit with a post titled, “Delusion: That is all summed up in the title of the article – The New Oscar Category – Om Raut Nominated for Best Performance in Self Deception.” The director is getting massively trolled as one of the netizens wrote, “He is just arrogant. He doesn’t want to accept his mistake, and he did a s**t movie so he is talking about collections to save himself,” another one commented, “He is just delusional.”
