Netflix India has announced its partnership with Raj & DK for the company’s first action-fantasy show “Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom.” The project comes after a successful collaboration with the series Guns & Gulaabs.
As per Variety, They will be working with director Rahi Anil Barve and the writer Sita R. Menon under the production house D2R Films. The series will also include physically dramatic episodes and stunts with visual effects to be shot in the fantasy kingdom backdrop. The shooting is expected to begin soon.
The news portal also reported that filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK who are collectively called as Raj & DK have carved a niche for themselves in the Indian entertainment space. Having worked on films like “99”, “Shor in the City” and “Go Goa Gone”, the duo has also explored streaming shows like “The Family Man”, “Farzi” and entered a multi-year overall deal with Netflix in 2022.
Menon has been closely associated with Raj & DK for quite some time, and he has been employed by the two as a writer. Some of her credits include Farzi and other films under the D2R Films production company.
