Actor Naseeruddin Shah has been hospitalized for two days. The actor was diagnosed with pneumonia and needed immediate hospitalization due to a patch found in his lungs. According to the recent reports, he is stable and responding to the treatment. His wife, Ratna Pathak Shah, and children are accompanying him at the hospital.

Naseeruddin’s manager confirmed the news and told Bombay Times, “He has been in the hospital for two days. He’s under medical supervision. He was brought in for pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalized immediately. His condition is stable and he’s responding well to the treatment.”

Naseeruddin Shah has been one of the most celebrated actors in Bollywood. His contribution to parallel cinema in India is note-worthy.

The NSD graduate actor made his debut with the 1967 movie, Aman. He played a small role in the movie starring Rajendra Kumar and Saira Banu in the lead roles. The actor gave the Bollywood film industry, some of the masterpieces during the 80s and 90s. These include movies like Masoom, Ijaazat, Katha, Hum Paanch, Jaane Bhi do yaaro, Mirch Masala, and many others.

The 70-year-old actor has also been a part of the OTT platform. He was seen in the web series, Bandish Bandits on Amazon Prime. The musical series was released in 2020 and Naseer played a pivotal role in it. He was also seen in the movie, Ramprasad ki Tehrvi, directed by Seema Pahwa that released on Zee5 in January 2021.
