Playback singer Romy, the crooner who had lent his voice to the song ‘Badhaaiyan tenu’ in Amit Sharma’s National Award winning-film, Badhaai Ho, took to his social media handle and shared the news of his engagement. The singer exchanged the rings with his lady-love, Pitambi Chaudhary.
While sharing the news of his engagement, the singer captioned the image with, “Aaj sabke saamne main ye baat kehna chahta hoon, taa-umr bus tere saath rehna chahta hoon. After the post went live many colleagues and fans of the singer started pouring their love into the comment section. Songwriter, producer and Youtuber Shreya Jain seized the comment section to wish the lovely couple, she said, “Lomy Ji badhaiyaaaan, ” whereas, ‘Din Shagna Da’ and ‘Four More Shots Please’ singer Aanchal Shrivastava wrote, “Hero oyeeee badhaiyaaan.”
Romy is well known for his songs like ‘Nachan Nu Jee Karda’ from 2020 comedy-drama ‘Angrezi Medium’ which featured Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and late actor Irrfan Khan in a pivotal role. He had also lend his voice in the 2020’s most popular movie ‘Subh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ which tells the story of a gay man and his partner, who have trouble convincing the former’s parents for their relation. Romy had also given some hits songs to the Bollywood industry like Heer Badnaam, Sanu Kehndi, Bhangra Ta Sajda and many more.
